Trinit\u00e0 (Aycinena)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Maria Teresa de Jesus Anastasia Cayetana was born in Guatemala City on April 15, 1784, into the bosom of a wealthy family.<\/p>\n<p>She distributed all her possessions to follow Jesus in the consecrated life of the Discalced Carmelites. In the Order of Saint Teresa she received the name of Mar\u00eda Teresa of the Most Holy Trinity. She made her religious profession of the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience on November 24, 1808.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Surrendered completely to God&#8217;s love through an intense life of prayer, an unlimited dedication to charity towards her sisters and an absolute self-denial in everything, she lived the sublime experience of the Christian life that mystics call \u00abspiritual marriage\u00bb. Elected Prioress of her Community, she led her sisters in fidelity to the spirit of Saint Teresa.<\/p>\n<p>Full of merits and virtues, she died a holy death in Guatemala City on November 29, 1841.<\/p>\n<p>The Diocesan Inquiry into her \u00ablife, virtue and reputation for holiness\u00bb was opened on 30<sup>th<\/sup> of April 2008 at the Archdiocese of Guatemala.
